The green is situated within the Manor Farm Complex, Ruislip and is adjacent to the library, just off Bury Street or St Martins Approach, parking is available (a charge is payable before 5.30 Monday-Saturday). The club is just 10 minutes walk from Ruislip Tube Station (District and Metropolitan lines) and 3 minutes from the bus stop 331, H13 & U10. More detailed information on our location is available in our links section.

The green is open from April 27th to the end Sept. We are a mixed club and share the green with Ruislip Bowls Club. Roll-ups are every evening from 5.00pm till sundown. We play friendlies at the weekends and also midweek. If you want to be competitive we play in the Bidgood league (men) and the Thames and Chiltern League (mixed). We are members of the English B A, Middlesex B A, Hillingdon and District B A and the Harrow and District B A.

It is said that Lawn Bowls is a game that can be played by anyone aged from nine to ninety and in my time in the game I have come across several nonagenarian players. It does tend to have a crusty, "old people's game" image. The reality is somewhat different and at County level in the U K the average age is probably somewhere in the early forties. Competitive bowling can be an exhausting game and in matches players are expected to perform for three to four hours without a break. During these games they can walk two or three miles and bend up and down about 100 times. Add to that the concentration and effort required and you can see why we need a seat and a few beers after the match!

So if you would like to take up our game and would like to improve your fitness this could be the game for you. We do have a qualified coach and you can get in touch with us via this web site on the contact page.
